A little local help
Planning a day out? We’ve got you.
You know when you’re trying to think of something to do, so you open Netflix for “a minute” and somehow you’re still scrolling half an hour later? We thought finding a family day out shouldn’t feel like that.
We wanted one handy place for days out, events, activities and things to do across the North East — somewhere to have a quick mooch, find an idea and get on with enjoying the day. No endless searching, no wondering where to look, and hopefully a bit less “what are we doing today?”
So Little North Explorers was born: a way of keeping track of places to explore with our little explorer, and sharing them with other North East families too. Whether you fancy a big adventure, a rainy-day rescue or just somewhere to burn off some energy for an hour, we’re here to help you find it.

Opening times, prices and what’s on can change, especially during school holidays. It’s always worth checking the venue’s own details before you head off. We’ll help you narrow down the options — you can choose what works best for your family.
