About this policy
Little North Explorers is a directory of family-friendly activities across North East England. This policy explains what information may be handled when you browse the site, use the “near me” feature or contact us.
Location searches
If you choose to use the “near me” feature, your browser asks for permission to share your current location. The site uses the coordinates supplied by your browser to calculate distances to activities and show nearby results.
The site does not send your location to Little North Explorers, store it in an account or attach it to your name. You can deny permission or change the permission in your browser settings at any time. Map services may receive technical information, such as your IP address, when map tiles are loaded.
Information the site uses
- Activity information and images managed through Sanity, our content management system
- Technical information that may be recorded by the website hosting provider when pages are requested
- Messages and your email address if you contact us by email
The site does not currently require an account and does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.
External services and links
Activity pages may link to venue websites. Maps use OpenStreetMap data and CARTO map tiles. Those services have their own privacy policies and may process requests independently of Little North Explorers. Please check their policies before using those services.
Your choices
You can browse the site without sharing your location. If you email us, you can ask what personal information we hold about your correspondence or ask us to correct or delete it where appropriate.
