A large city park beside Newcastle's Town Moor with a lake, open lawns, paths, a children's playground, skatepark, outdoor gym and free tennis courts. It is suitable for a short playground visit, picnic or longer walk around the park and Town Moor. The park itself is free to visit. Northumberland Park
North Shields, NE30 2ES
A restored Victorian park between North Shields and Tynemouth with woodland and lakeside walks, a multi-age play area, BMX pump track, sculpture and orienteering trails, gardens and a visitor centre. The Glasshouse Tea Room and public toilets are available during staffed hours. Park hours change between summer and winter, so check the council page before an early or late visit.
