About this activity

Step into one of Britain’s best-preserved Roman forts, with barrack blocks, an interactive museum and far-reaching views along Hadrian’s Wall. Children can dress up, handle replica objects and follow the fort’s stories through the exhibition. The visitor centre is currently closed; English Heritage says a coffee cart and toilets are available in the car park and at the fort. Check the latest facilities notice before travelling.
