About this activity

A family-friendly local history museum set in extensive grounds. Exhibitions cover the area's social, industrial and maritime history and include Anglo-Saxon finds and Steel Stories. The wider estate also contains a playground, café, owl centre and walled garden, which have separate opening arrangements and charges. Museum tickets are inexpensive, valid for twelve months and free for children under four.
