About this activity
Norham Castle’s dramatic ruins overlook the River Tweed and invite families to explore a piece of Northumberland’s border history. The outer ward and castle setting make this a flexible stop for curious children and older explorers. The main Marmion Gate and bridge, inner ward bridge and keep are currently closed for safety and conservation work. The outer ward remains open via the alternative entrance from the car park; follow the signs and check current access before travelling.
