Festive Evenings at Ormesby Hall

days out attractions

About this event

See Ormesby Hall’s fairy-tale rooms glowing after dark on two special December evenings. Decorations take families through storybook worlds including the Snow Queen’s realm, Alice’s tea party and an underwater kingdom inspired by The Little Mermaid. Live festive music and Mrs Christmas’s stories in the Library add more to the visit than simply looking around the house. Outside, the programme includes firepit marshmallow toasting, with seasonal food and drinks available from the café. Normal admission applies and no pre-booking is needed. The gardens are closed during the evenings. Although the event runs from 5–8pm, the house and café close at 7.30pm; the published wording is unclear about final entry, so arrive earlier and confirm that time with the hall.
