Meet Father Christmas at Locomotion

days out attractions

About this event

A heritage railway carriage becomes Father Christmas’s home at Locomotion this December. Families step inside for an individual meeting, with time to take photographs and a wrapped present chosen to suit each participating child’s age. Afterwards, a mini hot chocolate voucher gives little visitors another treat to look forward to, and the ticket also includes a museum shop discount. The experience is for children aged 1–12, with up to two adults accompanying them. Babies under one can join a sibling’s visit but do not receive their own meeting or gift. Book ahead and arrive at the Main Hall event area at least ten minutes before your slot. Museum admission and parking are free, so you can also spend time looking around the railway collection during your visit.
