6 September: Family Fun Day and Duck Race: 10:00am–3:00pm
A free-entry day in Ponteland Park with family entertainment, food and drink stalls, local market traders, fairground rides and attractions. The programme also includes a business boat race, children’s duck-decorating competition, raffle and the Sunshine Fund’s famous Ponteland Duck Race, with five races and cash prizes. Racing ducks cost £2 each or £10 for one in every race and can be bought in advance or on the day.
