13 September: Relaxed Sunday Session: 10:00am–12:00pm
A quieter morning at Life Science Centre for anyone who benefits from a calmer visit, including autistic visitors and people with other sensory needs. Visitor numbers and noise are reduced, lighting and sound are adjusted where possible, and relaxed Planetarium and Science Theatre performances are available; ear defenders, sensory bags, a visual story and sensory map can also support the visit. The relaxed period runs from 10:00 to 12:00 and is included with science-centre admission, with carers admitted free.
What it costs
Included with normal science-centre admission. Carers attend free with proof of carer status.

Access notes
Visitor numbers and noise are reduced, lighting and sound are adjusted where possible, and hand dryers are switched off. Ear defenders and sensory bags can be hired with a refundable deposit, and a visual story and sensory map are available.
