Swap a little Christmas-holiday screen time for making together in The Bowes Museum’s Create Space. The learning team has planned two different days inspired by the collection: Spectacular Snowflakes on 23 December and Clay Creations on 29 December. On the first date, children can explore colourful materials to make snowflakes, snow globes and festive bunting. On the second, they can shape and decorate a clay creation to take home. These are drop-in family activities for all ages, included with museum admission, with sessions open between 10.30am and 3.30pm. Choose the date for the activity your children would most enjoy; the programme does not run every day between them. Contact the learning team ahead of your visit if adaptations would help your family take part.
