About this activity
A large free country park opposite Penshaw Monument, created on the site of a former colliery. It has several lakes, walking and cycling trails, an adventure play area, wheeled-sports area, open fields and sculptures inspired by the area's mining history. The park hosts major events at times, which can affect access and parking, so check local updates before travelling.
