About this event

Local choirs, samba rhythms, a Highland bagpiper and line dancing bring a community Christmas celebration to Tynemouth Priory and Castle. Families can listen to the performers, join in with the dancing and visit food traders around the historic coastal setting. Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade will also have hands-on activities and water-safety advice. The day runs from 11am to 4pm on 6 December, with face painting available at an extra charge. Entry is free for English Heritage members and residents of NE25–NE30 who bring proof showing their name and eligible postcode; other visitors pay admission. Food and drinks are bought separately. Wrap up for spending time outdoors and bring your membership card or postcode evidence if claiming free entry.
