Compare the walk before the pictures

An illuminated path is still a winter walk. AGLOW publishes a longer Deer Park route and a shorter accessible alternative with different inclusions. Ask each organiser about gradients, surfaces, buggy use, toilets and rest points if those affect your family.

Do not assume an attraction’s usual daytime accessibility information describes the evening route. Check the specific trail and any relaxed or reduced-capacity ticket.

Time slots, weather and extras

Choose an operating date before planning transport. A broad November-to-January listing can include closed nights, and a timed ticket still needs arrival time for parking or the walk to the entrance.

Compare the full group cost at checkout, including booking fees, parking and optional food or rides. Read the organiser’s weather and rescheduling terms rather than assuming rain cancels the event.

Before you head off

  • Check the live calendar for operating nights and your booked entry time.
  • Ask about the exact evening route and individual access requirements.
  • Pack warm layers and footwear suited to winter paths.
  • Confirm what your ticket includes before adding food, rides or another attraction.
