About this activity

A free railway museum displaying historic locomotives, including early examples connected with George and Robert Stephenson. Four-mile heritage train rides operate on Sundays and selected additional dates for a charge. Saturdays are normally museum-only. The museum also opens on Thursdays during North Tyneside school holidays and on bank holidays. Check the timetable before travelling if a train ride is essential.
