About this event

Is the department-store Santa really who he says he is? The original 1947 Miracle on 34th Street follows an elderly man whose claim leads all the way to a courtroom, with questions about belief and Christmas at the heart of the story. Beamish’s recreated Grand Cinema gives families an atmospheric place to share this older festive film, surrounded by the museum’s 1950s Town. It is a screening rather than a character event, so any Santa encounter is on screen. The film is listed as certificate U. Book cinema tickets online in advance, with an adult accompanying under-16s. Beamish Unlimited Passes and Friends memberships do not include the screening; show your separate cinema ticket at the museum entrance.
